Moisture & Pest Protection for Tropical Climates

Humidity-Lock™

Humidity-Lock™ is an advanced innovation specifically developed for the tropical climate of Bali.
This system combines multiple technical solutions designed to seal the ceiling space and protect against moisture and pests. It includes the following components:

⚫ Specialized Moisture-Resistant PVC Membrane: A high-grade PVC film engineered to resist constant humidity and treated with anti-fungal additives. Unlike standard ceiling fil ms, it doesn't "sweat" during temperature changes, prevents condensation and mold, and offers superior resistance to mildew and bacteria.
⚫ Airtight Profiles & Seals: Around the perimeter, we use sealed profiles with integrated gaskets that leave no gaps. All joints between the ceiling membrane and walls are fully sealed, blocking out humid air and insects. Special attention is given to cable and lighting penetrations — custom gaskets are applied to prevent moisture from entering from attics or outside.
⚫ Anti-Condensation Barrier: The ceiling cavity can include moisture absorbers (like silica gel packets) or a small ventilation valve with a backflow preventer. This prevents condensation from building up on the back of the membrane — a common issue when switching on cold air conditioning in hot, humid conditions.

Pest Protection


In Bali, pests such as geckos and insects often inhabit wall cavities. The Humidity-Lock™ system ensures the ceiling space is completely sealed, so no mosquitoes, ants, or lizards can enter. Even the smallest openings (e.g., around AC piping) are sealed with foam or silicone before the membrane is installed.
